The Knowledge Base module allows users to add, manage, and organize information that powers chatbot responses. Knowledge can be added by scraping website content or manually entering text.

The chatbot uses this information to answer user questions accurately and provide contextual responses.

Add New Knowledge

The platform supports two methods for creating knowledge sources:

1. From URL

2. From Text

Add Knowledge From URL

The From URL option allows users to train the chatbot using website content.

Website URL

Enter the website URL that you want the chatbot to learn from.

Add Website

Click Add Website to start the website indexing process.

What Happens

1. Website URL is validated.

2. The platform crawls and scrapes the website.

3. Website pages are indexed.

4. Knowledge becomes available to the chatbot.

Website Scraping Status

During indexing, the platform displays the progress message:

Scraping your site (up to 5 min)...

The scraping time may vary depending on:

  • Website size
  • Number of pages
  • Website response speed
  • Content complexity

Successful Website Indexing

After completion, the platform displays a confirmation message.

Example:

Website updated successfully. Scraped 15 pages from your sitemap. Indexing for fast chat in the background.

Add Knowledge From Text

The From Text option allows users to manually create knowledge entries.

Title

Enter a name for the knowledge entry

Purpose

  • Organize knowledge sources.
  • Easily identify information later.

Content

Enter or paste text that should be used by the chatbot.

Examples:

  • FAQs
  • Company information
  • Product descriptions
  • Policies
  • Support documentation
  • Internal instructions

Add Knowledge

Click Add Knowledge to save the content and make it available to the chatbot.

Knowledge History

The Knowledge History section displays all previously added knowledge sources.

Information Displayed

Each knowledge source includes:

  • Knowledge title
  • Source URL
  • Storage size
  • Number of indexed pages
  • Creation date

Actions

Open Knowledge

View the complete knowledge source and its details.

Delete Knowledge

Remove the knowledge source from the platform.
