The AI Competitor Research feature enables users to compare their website with competitors across AI-powered search platforms. It analyzes prompt rankings, visibility, keyword coverage, and AI recommendations to identify where competitors outperform the project and provides actionable strategies to improve AI discoverability and ranking.
Project & Competitors
The Project & Competitors section allows users to configure the website and competitor URLs for analysis.
Project or Website URL
Users can select an existing project or enter a website URL.
The input field supports:
- Selecting a saved project.
- Entering a website URL manually.
- Searching for an existing project.
The selected project becomes the primary website for competitor comparison.
Competitor URLs
Users can enter up to five competitor website URLs to compare against the selected project.
Users can:
- Add competitor URLs.
- Remove competitor URLs.
- Add additional competitors using the Add another competitor option.
Analyze Competitors
After selecting a project and adding competitor URLs, users can click Analyze Competitors to begin the comparison.
The system analyzes:
- Prompt rankings
- AI visibility
- Keyword coverage
- Average ranking positions
- Competitor strengths
- Ranking opportunities
Search History
The Search History section stores previous competitor analyses.
Each history entry displays:
- Analysis Date and Time
- Visibility Score
- Number of Competitors Analyzed
Users can reopen previous analyses without running a new comparison.
Export CSV
Users can export the complete competitor analysis report as a CSV file for reporting or further analysis.
Download White-Label Report
Users can download a professionally formatted White-Label Report containing the competitor analysis, which can be shared with clients or stakeholders.
Project Summary
After analysis, the dashboard displays an overview of the selected project.
Project URL
Displays the website being analyzed during the competitor comparison.
Total Keywords
Displays the total number of keywords analyzed across the selected project.
This represents the keyword set used during the AI competitor comparison.
Top 10 Positions
Displays the number of keywords currently ranking within the Top 10 AI search results.
Higher values indicate stronger AI visibility.
Visibility Score
Displays the project's overall AI visibility percentage.
The visibility score reflects how frequently the project appears across analyzed AI platforms.
Average Position
Displays the average ranking position of the project across all analyzed prompts.
Lower average positions indicate stronger overall rankings.
AI Platform Comparison
The AI Platform Comparison section compares the selected project with competitors across multiple AI platforms.
Supported platforms include:
- OpenAI
- Gemini
- Claude
- Perplexity
- Grok
For each platform, the following metrics are displayed:
- Keywords
- Top 10 Rankings
- Visibility Percentage
- Average Position
This comparison helps users understand how their website performs relative to competitors across different AI models.
Competitor Visibility Comparison
The Competitor Visibility Comparison chart provides a visual comparison of AI visibility between the project and competitor websites.
The chart displays:
- Visibility Percentage
- Top 10 Keywords
Users can quickly identify which competitors have stronger AI visibility.
Prompt Mentions & Positions
The Prompt Mentions & Positions section lists the prompts where competitor websites appear in AI-generated responses.
For each prompt, the following information is displayed:
- Competitor Website
- Prompt / Keyword
- Prompt Type
- AI Platform Source
- Ranking Position
- Detection Status
This helps users discover prompts where competitors are currently recommended.
Prompt Type
Identifies the category of the prompt
Examples include:
- Semantic
- Informational
- Commercial
Source
Displays the AI platform where the prompt was identified.
Examples include:
- OpenAI
- Gemini
- Claude
- Perplexity
- Grok
Position
Displays the competitor's ranking position for the identified prompt.
Found Status
Indicates whether the competitor was successfully detected for the prompt.
Possible values include:
- Found
- Not Found
Keyword Summary
The dashboard provides an overview of competitor keyword performance.
Competitor Keywords
Displays the total number of keywords where competitor websites are ranking.
Project Not Ranking
Displays the number of keywords where competitors rank but the selected project does not.
These keywords represent content and optimization opportunities.
Project Ranking
Displays the total number of competitor keywords where the selected project is also ranking.
All Competitor Prompts – Project Ranking Status
This section compares the project's ranking status for every competitor prompt.
For each keyword, the dashboard displays:
- Keyword
- OpenAI Ranking
- Gemini Ranking
- Claude Ranking
- Perplexity Ranking
- Grok Ranking
- Overall Status
- Action
Ranking Status
The system classifies each keyword as:
- Ranking – The project appears for the keyword.
- Not Ranking – The project does not currently appear for the keyword.
This helps users identify missing ranking opportunities.
Action
Each row includes an Action option that opens detailed recommendations for improving rankings for the selected keyword.
Ranking Opportunities & Strategies
The Ranking Opportunities & Strategies section provides AI-generated recommendations for keywords where competitors rank but the selected project does not.
For each opportunity, the dashboard displays:
- Target Keyword
- Competitor Name
- Competitor Ranking Position
- AI Platform
- Current Ranking Status
Why Competitor Ranks
This section explains why the competitor performs better for the selected keyword.
The analysis may include:
- Content depth
- Topic authority
- Keyword optimization
- Website credibility
- Internal linking
- Content quality
- Topical relevance
Improvement Recommendations
The system provides actionable recommendations to improve rankings, including:
- Create content targeting the missing keyword.
- Improve topical authority with supporting articles.
- Optimize page structure and headings.
- Increase internal linking.
- Strengthen content relevance.
- Improve EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness).
- Acquire high-quality backlinks.
- Expand semantic keyword coverage.
- Improve GEO optimization for AI search platforms.
